Reddish Vale launches nine-hole Twilight Club

Reddish Vale Golf Club is holding a number of nine-hole evening competitions this summer.

The Twilight Golf Club starts on Tuesday, April 10, from 4.30pm and is open to members and non-members.

Events are being held throughout the season until September, with flexible starting times between 4pm and 7.30pm depending on the available daylight.

The Stableford competitions are open to men and women and will be played off full handicap over an accredited nine-hole course starting at the sixth.

Organiser Duncan Cheslett says: “The Twilight Golf Club offers a full golfing experience to those who struggle to find the time to play as often as they would like due to work and family commitments.

“Our regular nine-hole evening events can be completed in little more than the time taken to go to the gym or to attend a football or rugby training session.

“Keen weekend golfers from across the Manchester area will also relish the opportunity to get in a game during the working week which might otherwise be impossible.

“Membership of the Twilight Golf Club absolutely free and open to everyone – seasoned golfers, relative novices, and occasional players are all welcome.”

Anyone without a handicap is eligible to play, while the events will count as handicap qualifiers for Reddish Vale golfers.

Green fees are £12.50, reduced to £7.50 for other club members, with a further £2.50 going into the prize pot for eligible players.

Reddish Vale has an impeccable pedigree, being the work of the legendary Dr Alister MacKenzie, architect of Augusta National and many more of the very best golf courses in the world.
